The history of English language

1. How was the English language formed? The English language was created through the celtics which got words from the dutch, german and danish people, they brought it to England, then the vikings and christian priests that talked latin came to England and learned them new words which later was "added" to the English vocabulary

2. Why did people start talking the former english language? People needed to have a international language so they could understand each other.

3. Who was William The Conqueror and why did he have such a big impact on the English language? In 1066 William conquered England and the Conquerors(Normans) brought some whole new words to the English vocabulary, those were french words, but those french words where more royal words which was used in the royal court but then got bigger through time and is now used all the time

4. What's the difference between Old English and Middle English? In old English they added an inflectional ending that described the word a noun would have a different ending if it was the subject or object of a sentence. In middle English many of these endings was lost and the role a word played in the sentence was determined by a order of words. Middle English is pretty similar to Modern English.

5. How old is the English language? The English language has been quoted a lot that it is from about 450 AD, English are divided into three divides, the language from the poem of "beowulf" was from about 500 AD to about 1000 AD(Old English) and Modern English is from 1500 AD to now and further
